   The Sandpiper, an otherwise rather dull 1960s melodrama starring Liz Taylor and Richard Burton, is worth watching for the spectacular Big Sur footage alone.

   I wouldn’t like to appear to be slighting of the Big Sur, having driven the coast road and finding very beautiful …. but …. “one of the most spectacularly beautiful spots in the world” maybe … if that means being one of the world’s 10,000 most beautiful spots …….

   Big Sur is gorgeous. One of the most beautful spots I’ve seen – Point Lobos, is on that coast.
