In the northeastern United States, many residents are shoveling themselves out after an epic snowstorm, which may somewhat diminish their appreciation of the beauty of snow.

PG took the following at Jenny Lake in Grand Teton National Park, a short drive from Jackson, Wyoming.

  1. Ah, snow. Something I’m happy to say those of us in San Antonio don’t see very often (to hit 74F today). Though we also will see those +100F summer days …

    Nice picture! 😉

  2. Gorgeous! Will you have a showing? You should.

  3. Beautiful picture

  4. Lovely scene, PG. I prefer my snow when it concerns fun activities, not life or death driving situations.

  5. I think I shoveled the equivalent of half that today.

  6. I was a little disappointed that the storm missed us. Everything went just south of us. Luckily, we were able to find enough trails that weren’t packed down so that we were able to put on our snowshoe race yesterday.

  7. I desperately want to use this photo as background on a future book cover. I’m sure I can think up something to fit.

    Gorgeous photo, PG!

  8. Very nice, PG. Also a beautiful place (and warmer) in other seasons. 🙂

  9. My grandchildren would love to be in that snow. It hardly ever snows where we live.

  10. Thanks to all for the kind words.

  11. I like that band of cerulean blue left middle. Just so beautiful a photograph. Thanks PG.

  12. Well, that’s just gorgeous.

We have over two and a half feet here from the blizzard. The trick is figuring out where to put it.

  13. Long time reader, first time commenter!

I seldom meet anyone else from the Wyoming area, face south and wave!

    • Thanks for the good thoughts, Nikki.

I would love to live near the Grand Tetons or a great many other places in Wyoming, but I, too, live just south of Wyoming.

    • While I’m a few miles to the west. (And I think PG is actually south west.) 🙂
