1. I have been the victim of copyright infringement. A few paragraphs from one of my books showed up unattributed in a high profile blog. Someone pointed it out to me. I was flattered. The blog had a lot more readers than my book, which was very specialized.

   But that didn’t stop me from handing the situation over to my publisher’s piracy squad.

2. But be sure to call it “research.”
