This is not really true. Jobs glossed over the Lisa, Apple III, and the Next, his three biggest failures.
I think his point is that in spite of his failures, he still trusted that “the dots will somehow connect.” He didn’t let his failures defeat him or make him quit, and I imagine he took what he learned from those failures and applied it to the next idea/product’s development. Sometimes the dots don’t seem to connect, when, really, they give us the tools and drive to push forward despite the seeming lack of connection.
