According to most studies, people’s number one fear is public speaking. Number two is death. Death is number two. Does that seem right? That means to the average person, if you have to go to a funeral, you’re better off in the casket than doing the eulogy.

I’d be much more scared of the eulogy if I had to read one written by Jerry Seinfeld. (And I’ve read lots and lots of medal citations at awards ceremonies, which are preferable.)
The reason, imo, the quote is true is because one survives (usually) public speaking. 😉
I’ve never understood why people fear death. We all die. Literally *everyone* seems to manage it. So… what’s to be afraid of?
Events leading up to death, OK. I completely understand. But death itself? No.
