This is just the daily quote that PG usually posts. He used a free online program he’s mentioned before, Adobe Spark, to create it in a very few minutes.

PG has another Sparkified boxing quote coming up. He’s not certain that he will punch up a post in this manner frequently, but may do so from time to time. (An unconscious bad pun which he only recognized after he had written it.)

  1. I also like George Foreman’s quote:
    “Boxing is like jazz. The better it is, the less people appreciate it.”

    One might argue that it could apply to literature as well.

    Also, for whatever reason, boxing seems to have attracted the interest of some fairly serious writers. Norman Mailer, Joyce Carol Oates, and A.J. Leibling all have done essays on the sport.

    My guess is that it has to do with the primal nature of boxing competition.
