Cape Falcon, Oregon

PG hasn’t put up any photos for awhile.

The following was taken along a the Cape Falcon Trail on the Oregon Coast. The trail is filled with huge old trees with moss growing on them, intense green undergrowth impinging on the trail and, at times, not a lot of light reaching the ground.

PG thought he had posted an earlier version of this photo, but couldn’t find it.

As you’ll be able to discern, this photo has seen a lot of post-processing with several different tools. Earlier versions of it didn’t adequately capture the feeling of the place.

This particular spot is a gentle uphill section of the trail where you’re coming out of some of the thickest foliage into place of light.

  1. Gorgeous! You are painting with light, PG, to convey the beauty and the feeling of a place. You do realize that you are an artist, I hope. In addition to being an extraordinarily witty and intelligent lawyer and gentleman. 🙂

  2. I’d rather see effects like this in a photo of this nature, than a “clean” photo. Its moody feel makes it Art.

  3. Its pretty, very painting-like, but I would much prefer a clean photo instead. As a painting, I find it charming, but as a photo, I find it aggravating. I have had glasses all my life, and for more than 2 decades I have had one eye with a scar through the focus that blurs everything in that region, so foggy images are not for me. Sorry to be a naysayer, its a matter of personal taste.
