Fat Fingers

PG fat-fingered TPV offline for a while today and is happy to have it back, apparently none the worse for wear.

Once again Annette in tech support at Hosting Matters saved PG’s bacon, reversed his foolishness and the sun is shining and birds are singing once again.

  1. One of the great things about having a website is all the cool people you meet through it – and that includes tech support. My experience is that Annette is one of many at the hosts who combine technical proficiency with caring customer support.

My hosting service has saved me a time or two. In my early days I didn’t realize how important it was to set group permissions to read only on individual files and hackers infested my site with viruses. The sys admins spotted the problem, cleaned up the viruses and stepped me through restoring my site. I will be ever grateful for their thorough and patient help. That’s one of the reasons to have a paid hosting service rather than using a free one.

There are a lot of people in this world who are keeping the gears turning that nobody hears or thinks about. Sure, the first responders, firefighters, soldiers, teachers, nurses and doctors deserve their place in the spotlight, but don’t forget the tech support, the logistics specialists, the inventory analysts, stock clerks, highway builders, and all the rest. Without their sincere and diligent efforts, our world would grind to a halt.
