  1. One of my favorite books. I will never give up my tattered paperback copy. Whenever I pick it up, I have not only the pleasure of reading the story (again) but also the memories of admiring my new find from the used bookstore (just 75 cents!) while walking home to my little beach front apartment, accompanied by the sound of the Pacific surf, the pretty bougainvillea flowers spilling over walls and stairways, and my (now 41 years old) baby asleep on my back in his cozy Snugli.

  2. Oh dear, its been years since I reread Cotillion, but this quote made me want to go out and start reading it this morning, and I have too much work to do! Absolutely one of my favorites. Thanks for the smile.
