Yes. I love this statement.
When I was a young adult, I realized that my choices shaped my life, but it wasn’t until I was older that I realized that all those choices were also shaping me.
What I do and say both expresses who I am at that moment and determines who I become.
Her statement is so simplistic it’s almost a reductio ad absurdum.
Sounds like microaggression.
That’s really the short run.
The short run is all anybody gets.
In the long run the sun goes nova and nobody remembers tbere was anything here. 😉
Hopefully by then the species has matured, moved out into the galaxy, and become many something elses.
