Nothing to do with books, but a nice respite from blog problems.
Yesterday was National Chocolate Cake Day.
PG just learned about that important event this morning, so he hereby declares today as National Chocolate Cake Makeup Day!

I had Sacher torte on Sunday (and Friday and Saturday). Tehcnically not a cake, but it’s mostly chocolate so I’d say it counts.
Next on my baking list is a cake version of Runeberg torte.
The secret to enjoying your cake, and eating it too, is to have it after a real meal, by splitting it with the people you are with.
After a real meal, the cake tastes better, and the calories don’t count, because you have to split that piece with multiple people. A few bites is more than enough to satisfy. HA!
Huh! Just yesterday I was looking up recipes for Black Forest cake. The red stuff on top of this cake looks cherry-ish. But I probably should go with Deb’s diet and just look.
Mmmmmmmm / Homer Simpson drool.
I will speak to the staff here. We were NOT offered our choice of chocolate cakes yesterday.
Only white chocolate macadamia cookies and chocolate croissants.
I think there should be a separate National White Chocolate Cake Day, Alicia.
People either hate it or love it. I happen to love it.
Some people say it’s not really chocolate. I think that about dark chocolate.
Yum! That looks scrumptious! And a photo of chocolate cake is on my diet. 😉
Mine, too, Deb.
