I thought this was about Guinness
Does he mean that as in she’s monogamous (a mailbox having only one address), or in that she’s promiscuous (a mailbox receiving mulitple pieces of mail over a week)?
However the hearer wanted to see her, I expect.
As a rule, classic noir has misogynist undertones stemming from its femme fatale trope. So the odds are he meant the latter.
