In these enlightened times, ad copywriters’ English is as sloppy as anyone’s. They rely on slick images, fancy production, and most of all, on the gullibility of their clients. The only thing that the advertising industry really knows how to sell is, of course, advertising.
I have bought lots of stuff because I saw an ad. I just bought a little gizmo for maintaining the tip on a pool cue because I saw an ad. It works very well.
