  1. Copyright and trademark rights are way too convoluted.

    Resell a work from an artist and get millions–while the artist gets nothing–but take a picture of a public statue and the sculptor gets to sue for millions.

      Starting a suit is easy. Finishing one is hard.

      The laws on copyright will continue to be convoluted until the Mouse becomes public domain. My bet is that Disney will divide the iterations of Mickey, give up Steamboat Willie, and fight like hell to keep the later incellations. Great shall be the wailing and gnashing of teeth when they lose exclusive rights to The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.
