Good to have two ways of looking at a simple thing. Some might need the latter more.
Beautifully stated. This is exactly why his poetry resonates with those of us who typically have no time for poetry and/or those phonies who strain and struggle to be profound–but rarely are.
Long live Bukowski. Second to none when it comes to free verse & the short story. And it continues to drive the so-called intellectuals crazy.
