Non sequitur. I have known plenty of confused idiots, including some who actually realized that they were confused.
‘All P are Q’ does not imply ‘all Q are P’.
I find myself completely confused by the effort obviously put into the current top post (https://www.thepassivevoice.com/imagine-2/).
Whether that marks me as wise and knowledgeable, or as idiotic – well, I’m confused about that, too!
I found the OP to be an excellent example of OCD running wild, W, but I’m no psychologist.
With no offense intended, I don’t think you’ve dealt with as many world-class idiots as I have, T.
For me, the most confused idiots were the most certain they were correct.
That only points out another flaw in the OP: the silly notion that confidence and confusion are opposites.
